Tino Kuban, a Berliner gathered great experience working with some of the best in the wine industry. Notably, at the likes of Domaine de L’Horizon, Pierre Overnoy, Dard & Ribo, Philippe Bonard, Jean-Yves Bizot (France) - Felton Road, Burn Cottage, Sato Wines (New Zealand) to name a few.
Tino settled in Meursault and purchased Bernard Van Berg’s estate in 2018. There, Tino manages 1.5 hectares of vines and renamed it Les Jardins Vivants with its first vintage in 2019. Yields are kept very low (below 10hl/ha) with the load on each vine are no more than 4 bunches. Harvest is carried out in the early morning. Harvesters sweep the passages several times where they sorted drastically and their berries picked with optimal maturity.
About the same time, Tino developed a négociant business under the name Maison Glandien. For this, Tino source his grapes from Burgundy, Beaujolais, Alsace, and Jura. Due to the base composition of the base wine, Tino markets his wine as Vin de France
